Benjamin Haycock

Benjamin Haycock blends melodic, percussive and fingerstyle guitar with deep introspective lyricism. He laces this with raw, emotive and powerful singing vocals and tight rap flows to match. This is all interwoven to create a truly unique sound that conveys the characteristics from growing up in inner city Birmingham, intertwined with the coastal tones of his home in his twenties, Devon.

Starting out, Benjamin was the songwriting front man to an eclectic band that performed at the likes of the 02 Academy and 02 Institute, which included instrumentation from 'Little Comets' drummer Nathan Greene. He then released his debut solo EP 'Time's Transgressions', which entered the top 100 official charts and led to him being one of Fender's 'Undiscovered Artists of the Year'.

A year later, Benjamin appeared on 'The Voice UK' performing an emotional rendition of his original song 'Restlessness' that he wrote as a letter to his late Father. Suffice to say, all four of the coaches turned around. He subsequently released ‘Restlessness’, which went to No.1 in the iTunes singer-songwriter charts in five countries.

He subsequently partnered with Australian guitar company 'Maton' and became one of their prestigious artists and global ambassadors. Names on their roster include the likes of John Butler, Tash Sultana, Josh Homme, Tommy Emmanuel, Keith Urban and Neil Finn.

He then collaborated with 'The Tree Council' to release the single 'Force for Nature’. The music video premiered to thousands of schools, with the song later being featured by NOTION magazine. His second piece of work with the charity was a composition for a film played at COP26 in Glasgow. His latest collaboration with The Tree Council was a soundscape that he composed for the installation 'Voices for Nature' that has since been exhibited at Hampton Court Palace, The NEC and Kew Gardens. This led to him performing in front of the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street.

Over the following period, Benjamin released two music videos 'Homeless Winters' and 'Pupil's War' that were filmed/directed by hollywood cinematographer Jonathan Pears, who was fresh off the set working on the box office film 'KANDAHAR' with Gerrard Butler.

Over the last few years, Benjamin has worked closely with The Extreme Tour, travelling to struggling communities across the world, outreaching through music, connecting people with resources and aiming to demonstrate the love of God!

After releasing his first single of 2025 'Finding Hope', Benjamin is currently working on projects with Grammy-Award winning producer Skidd Mills, Billboard No.1 producer David Cowell & 'Pillar' guitarist Noah Henson.
